We Must Be Patient!

by admin Email

When things get difficult and nothing seems to be changing or going our way, it is easy to be tempted to think: 'it will never happen', 'my situation is never going to improve'... when I find myself thinking those thoughts, that's when I remind myself that God is always at work and that I should be patient, just as He is patient with me!

2 Peter 3: 8-9

"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."

Also, I remind myself that God has a purpose for this difficult time: to help me grow into the person He wants me to become. He wants us to be mature, comple and lacking nothing... don't we want that too? Of course! But sometimes that means being patient and persevering through hardship.

James 1: 4

"Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."

You are a work in progress... don't be afraid to let God finish His work in you - be patient and persevere and see the wonderful ending He has planned!
